For over four decades, Nipun has questioned the nature of his existence while navigating a unique life journey. His early experiences included a paper route and aspirations of becoming a tennis pro or a Himalayan Yogi, but a profound transformation at 17 set him on a distinct path. After obtaining a degree in Computer Science and Philosophy from UC Berkeley, his career at Sun Microsystems granted him financial stability, leading him to give back, ultimately birthing ServiceSpace, a thriving community with 1.5 million members. During the early years of his marriage, Nipun embarked on an open-ended walking pilgrimage across India, focusing on acts of kindness, profiling inspirational individuals, and nurturing personal values. Today, he is renowned for his commitment to kindness, technology for positive change, support of like-minded projects, and his meditation practice. Despite the complexities of sustaining his livelihood, he shares valuable insights on thriving in a gift economy.
